Preliminary Task : Analysis of Cover Page

If you remember well enough, In my recent post I chose to redesign my cover page and completely change the design, photo, and style of the potential cover page of my magazine. In this post I will be doing an analysis of my redesigned cover page. Allow me to remind you the cover page that was shown in the last post.

Now, Here is the analyzed version of this cover page

I chose to add text and arrows to visually analyze and explain the purpose behind each choice made to put together this cover. 

1. The Large Catchy Name with the name " ZEN" is bolded with eye-catching font made to grab the readers attention. The color white was chosen to be a direct contrast to the vast blue in the original background photo. While the name" ZEN" was chosen to emphasize the magazines Genre which is pertaining to Spiritual Health.

2. The medium sized subtitles that are meant to give slight information on what topic the magazine will include and are used to hopefully interest the reader in one of the topics so that they might be more induced to further read the magazine.

3. The background of the magazine which is an original photo taken by me for the cover of this magazine. With all intentions of capturing the light and airy feeling of being spiritually conscious. Therefore I chose a constant staple of spiritual health which is nature. 

All these components were used to bring together the cover page that in the end ultimately forms a representation of a Spiritual health magazine.
