Introducing Camera Shots

In this post I will be getting into the different camera shots that I have been researching for my magazine! Camera shots are an asset of film-making and video productions, by combining different types of camera movements to emphasize specific emotions, ideas , or location of a place. Here are a few camera shots !

Two shot : A shot in which two subjects appear in the frame. This shot is typically used for romance, tension and action.

Birds- eye view : A high-angle shot that's taken from directly overhead and from a distance. This is typically used to show elements outside the boundaries of a subjects awareness. This shot is usually taken from a helicopter or crane.

Point-of-View shot : Shot used to mimic what a character in a scene is seeing. This puts the audience directly into the body or head of the subject. For example, this picture is shot to mimic what the character is seeing, which is two girls talking directly to the subject.

Over the shoulder shot : Shot where the subject is shot from behind the subject of another. One subject facing away from the camera and the other in view, making the shot useful for showing reactions during conversations. It tends to place emphasis on the interaction happening between two characters.
